Custom Map Design
I love a map! Custom maps are such a fun way to add personal elements to your wedding suite or welcome bag. All elements of the map are hand painted in watercolor and then digitally assembled together to create the custom map. Map designs include 3 venue illustrations and 3-4 icon illustrations. Additional venue portraits are available for an added fee of $125.
The Process
1. Once I receive your order i'll reach out within 48 hours and send you a short questionnaire in addition to a licensing agreement. The questionnaire helps me get to know you two as a couple and the vision you have for your wedding as well as details like the locations you'd like included in your map and any special places we can include. I love knowing as many details as possible to get a great understanding of you as a couple and your wedding!
2.Once I receieve your questionnaire, I'll take all of that information and begin sketching out your map. You'll then recieve a sketch proof that includes a color palette and black and white sketch of your custom map design. This is the stage where we'll figure out which elements to include, any wording you'd like on the map, and the overall vibe of the piece!
3. Once we're both happy with the sketch, the fun begins! I'll paint all of the elements of your map, digitize them, and then piece them together to create your perfect custom wedding map! Once I'm done desiging you'll receive your first design proof. Much like the sketch proof it'll include the color palette along with a full color mock up of your map design. You'll be able to make comments and changes on your design and we'll work together until it's perfect! 3 rounds of complimentary revisions are included. Additional rounds of revisions (very rarely needed!) are $50 per round.
3. Once we're done designing and your map is complete you'll receive the digital files that you can use throughout any element of your wedding. Maps are sent in Jpeg & PNG. If you'd like to have your map printed this is when we'll chat sizing, paper, and quantity and you'll receive a quote for printing.
All cutsom map clients are required to sign a licensing agreement before the design process begins. This ensures that any artwork created is only used for personal uses and cannot be altered or resold.
